Wedding photographer Essex Down Hall Hotel : Becky and Rob

Becky and Rob choose Down Hall for the wedding day celebrations.

The day began with getting ready at the hotel for both the girls and Rob and his friends.

The ceremony took place at which is only a short drive away which is one of my favourite churches in Springfield, Chelmsford.

The weather was glorious so guests were able to enjoy the vast grounds at the hotel for a champagne reception while Andy and I were able to stroll around the gardens to take some portraits without guests watching too closely. There are so many areas to take some great shots of couples at this venue. We only spend around 20 minutes at most capturing portraits so we always need to be selective in the areas we take the couples to.

We hate the idea of dragging our brides and groom away from the family and friends too long.

We ask all our couples to factor time for these shots after the ceremony and the wedding breakfast. Also making time for any formal group shots that are needed to be captured. We suggest no more than 10-15 minutes for these. Avoid a long list of group shots if at all possible.

The speeches included a beautiful poem from the groom to the bride. Well done Rob, not a dry eye in the room. This was followed by an absolute rocking evening by the band The Kicks. They certainly know how to get a party started!
